1. Rental Agreement
By placing an order with Taylor Lee Moving Crates, you enter into a rental agreement for the use of reusable moving crates and any associated equipment. This agreement begins on the confirmed delivery date and remains in effect until all rented items have been retrieved by our team.
You agree to use the crates solely for the purpose of packing and transporting personal belongings during a residential or commercial move. Crates may not be subleased, resold, or used for storage beyond the agreed-upon rental period without prior written consent.
2. Rental Period & Extensions
The standard rental period is seven (7) days from the date of delivery. If you need additional time, you may request an extension through your account dashboard or by contacting our team. Extensions are billed at the per-crate weekly rate listed on your original order confirmation.
If crates are not returned or made available for retrieval by the end of the rental period (including any approved extensions), additional weekly charges will apply automatically until the crates are recovered.
3. Delivery & Retrieval
Delivery and retrieval are included in your rental package at no additional cost within our standard service area. You are responsible for ensuring that a clear, accessible path is available for our delivery team to drop off and pick up the crates.
Deliveries are scheduled in morning (8 AM – 12 PM) or afternoon (12 PM – 6 PM) windows. We will provide a courtesy notification approximately thirty minutes before arrival. If no one is available at the time of delivery, crates will be left at the front door or a pre-arranged location.
4. Loss & Damage Policy
You are responsible for the care of rented crates while they are in your possession. Normal wear from standard use is expected and will not result in charges. However, crates that are returned with significant damage—such as cracked walls, broken lids, or missing components—will be assessed a replacement fee of $25 per crate.
Lost or unreturned crates will also be charged at $25 per crate. If damage or loss occurs, charges will be applied to the credit card on file. We encourage customers to inspect crates upon delivery and report any pre-existing damage within 24 hours.
5. Credit Card Authorization
A valid credit card is required at the time of booking. Your card will be charged the full rental amount upon order confirmation. By providing your payment information, you authorize Taylor Lee Moving Crates to charge your card for the rental fee, any approved extensions, and any applicable damage or loss fees as described in these terms.
All payments are processed securely through Stripe. Taylor Lee Moving Crates does not store full credit card numbers on our servers.
6. Limitation of Liability
Taylor Lee Moving Crates provides crates as packing and transport containers only. We are not a moving company and do not transport your belongings. We are not liable for damage to the contents of the crates, injuries during packing or moving, or any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our products or services.
Our total liability to you for any claims arising from this agreement shall not exceed the amount you paid for the rental in question.
7. Service Area
Our delivery and retrieval services are currently available in Berrien County, MI and the South Bend–Mishawaka, IN metropolitan area. Orders placed for addresses outside our standard service area may be subject to additional delivery fees or may not be serviceable.
We are actively expanding our coverage. If your address falls outside our current service area, please contact us to discuss potential accommodations.
8. Cancellation & Refunds
Orders cancelled more than 48 hours before the scheduled delivery date are eligible for a full refund. Orders cancelled within 48 hours of delivery are subject to a $20 cancellation fee. Once crates have been delivered, no refund will be issued for the base rental period.
Refunds are processed to the original payment method and typically appear within five to ten business days. Extension fees and damage charges are non-refundable.
9. Modifications to Terms
Taylor Lee Moving Crates reserves the right to update or modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Your continued use of our services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
